Today, the Cardinals won the final game of the season, defeating the Milwaukee Brewers, and finishing the season with 105 wins.
This has been a magical season, and I’ve seen more games — both on tv and in person — this year than I have in a long time. It’s been fun to watch the Cards pull an incredible season out of a mediocre start. Put it this way: After starting 22-22, they came down the rest of the season 83-35. And, if you take the last week or two of the season out the mix, the winning percentage is even better.
So now, the attention turns to the playoffs. On the Tuesday afternoon, we will take on the Dodgers. I like our chances, and am thrilled that we are not facing the Giants again, as we did in 2002. That didn’t turn out so well! 🙂
