After some trials getting the business broadband line up, a little help from the helpdesk folks at CBN, and everything is working very well!
I absolutely cannot believe how fast the downstream speed is — I have three times the speed now that I did with CableAmerica, and it really shows. I’ve thought that there was some latency in the CA network anyway, and the quickness with which pages pop here just reinforces that.
I’m sure the upstream speed is good, too, but I’ll have to wait until I get to the other house to figure that out.
After weeks of wading through all the house details, the new house has broadband connectivity through the magic of Charter Business Networks. Yeah, it’s a little pricey for the business service, but that’ll allow me to do the things I wanna do with little or no trouble from them.
Much higher data rate than I’m getting from CableAmerica in the current house, too. That’s never a bad thing!
Friday, I’ll take the gear over and try to get us up and running at the new place. Kevio will be here, and I’m sure that’ll be helpful!
