Fresh Art: Moonrise at Yavapai Point

NOTE:  Today begins the release of a series of images from our trip to the American southwest in 2004.  Enjoy, and come back frequently to see this fresh art!

Getting up early to catch the sunrise at the lip of the Grand Canyon, Becky and I were treated to a beautiful early glow in the sky, with the Moon leading the Sun by a few hours.  Sunrises like this make me feel like I can see almost every color possible.

Moonrise at Yavapai Point is available through my online gallery, and is available in a variety of sizes.

Fresh Art: Heart of the Tractor

I had an opportunity to photograph the grounds of an old farm that was going up for sale. This tractor sat inside an open barn, almost as though it’d been frozen in time. The tractor engine really seemed to speak to me with so many textures and shades. I finished the image with an old-fashioned treatment that seemed to compliment the mood of the piece.

Fresh Art: Jammer Hubcap

While on a trip to Glacier National Park, I took an all-day trip through the park on one of the Red Jammer Busses. These are great vehicles for viewing the park, having removable tops to allow viewing of things all around the vehicle.

This image is a close-up of the hubcap of the Jammer I traveled on.

Jammer Hubcap is available through my online gallery, and is available in a variety of sizes.

Fresh Art: Yellowstone Lake

On my Yellowstone trip, I took some time to wander around the West Thumb Geyser Basin, and discovered this beautiful body of water. Yellowstone Lake seemed to have every color of the rainbow in its waters. If it weren’t for the snow-capped mountains in the background, it’d be hard to believe this body of water wasn’t in the Caribbean.

Yellowstone Lake is available through my online gallery, and is available in a variety of sizes.

Fresh Art: Devils Tower

As part of my cross-country drive, I knew I wanted to see Devils Tower up close. The beauty of this giant monolithic structure was awesome. This structure is still revered by the Native Americans as sacred ground.

Devils Tower is available through my online gallery, and is available in a variety of sizes. This image at 16″ x 20″ is currently hanging at Framations Art Gallery.
