There was a huge aurora this morning around 3am thanks to the largest CME in 24 years. It was even visible down here in lowly Missouri.
Tonight, the news had photos shot just outside the city — I’m envious! Just waaaay to much light polution here to see something as pale as the aurora.
The ham folks are having a heydey with this one. The proploggers are full of activity. A couple of years ago, there was an X15, and it was pretty amazing! I came within about 50 miles of setting a new Au record for distance on 222Mhz when I worked western New York from here. Pretty cool….
